Whether you are an experienced angler or just taking your family out for their first Hatteras charter outing, Open Waters Charters will provide everything that you need for a classic Hatteras style offshore fishing adventure. Our recently remodeled and repowered boat is a very dependable 42' Bruno Stillman with a beautifully designed efficient fiberglass New England hull. Our spacious cockpit has plentiful fishing space and includes dual fighting chairs for your charter fishing comfort and enjoyment.

Open Waters was repowered in 2009 with a new Cummins Marine Diesel Engine that cruises at a smooth 18 knots. In 2011 Open Waters had a major refit and replaced the entire bridge and house. She has been equipped with a state of the art Furuno bottom machine, VHF marine radio, EPIRB, dual Furuno GPS units, Sirius satellite radio (for your listening pleasure) and state of the art tackle including Shimano and Penn reels on custom built rods.

Open Waters is a classic fishing machine that was designed to safely and comfortably handle whatever the Atlantic decides to throw at her. She is at home fishing the inshore and near shore waters around Hatteras Inlet and equally capable of providing a safe and reliable offshore deep sea experience pelagic and bottom fishing the waters of the Gulf Stream.
